Reviews
My wife and I arrived in Quebec City late on a Tuesday night, and left early Thursday morning, leaving us only 1 full day in the city. We were incredibly keen to experience dog sledding and managed to get a last minute booking, however the venue was approximately an hour out of town and we had no idea how to get there - enter Concierge Du Terroir! All done from the train ride in, I sent my enquiry via email and was met with an incredibly prompt response from Frantz. Long story short, our private transfer was locked in before our train reached the station!
The next morning, Dany picked us up from our hotel in a luxury SUV which made the hour-long drive a breeze. It was a pleasure speaking with Dany, he was very personable, took an interest in us and our journey, and taught us a lot about Quebec, dog sledding and even taught us about his immense love for poutine (I'll let him tell you about it haha!). Even though it wasn't included in the initial service quote, Dany offered to drive us into Old Quebec following our experience. This included recommendations for sights, activities and, of course, food!
Concierge Du Terroir receives my highest recommendation!
Dany & Frantz - Shan and I want to thank you again for an amazing experience. Your fantastic service really made this portion of our trip special!

Where to start with our experience of Dany and Conciergerie du Terroir? Perhaps with the word phenomenal? Or exceeding all expectations?
We arrived at the Quebec City airport via three overnight flights and to say we were exhausted would be an understatement. Dany picked us up in a beautiful, spacious, and immaculate SUV, stocked with water bottles and ready-to-go phone chargers. It felt so nice to nestle in and RELAX during the drive to our hotel, and we appreciated the unanticipated "extra" of the experience. During the drive, Dany shared his journey from hotel concierge to creating Conciergerie du Terroir, and we loved his charm, humor, effervescence, and overall joie de vivre. As we approached Quebec City, a place we'd never visited, Dany impressed us with his broad and deep knowledge of the area and its history. A proud descendant of 17th-century Quebecois pioneers, Dany introduced Quebec City to us in the best way - leaving a lasting impression and teeing up our exceptional visit. With an encyclopedic knowledge of both the city and the beautiful surrounding countryside, Dany and Conciergerie du Terroir are all you need to plan and experience the area. He is also an expert in restaurant recommendations, so capture his favs in your phone for reference during your trip.
Thank you again, Dany, for your special brand of service magic.
Touring Quebec City, a place brimming with charm and history, is always an adventure worth embarking upon. However, our experience was elevated to an unprecedented level of wonder and personal connection thanks to our tour guide, Dany, whose dedication and passion for sharing the beauty of Quebec with us went far beyond the ordinary.
Our adventure began with an excursion that was a 90-minute journey outside the city, leading us to a destination that can only be described as magical. Picture this: an expansive, natural ice skating trail surrounded by the serene beauty of snow-dusted trees, deer watching you skate and the crisp, winter air – it was like stepping into a living postcard. This wasn't just a stop on a tour; it was an unforgettable experience that allowed us to connect with the natural beauty of Quebec in the most intimate way possible. Only surpassed by hearing Dany’s stories of growing up playing hockey nearby.
This was hands down one of the best tours I've taken. Frantz is so welcoming, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. The locations are super cool, and I learned so much about Quebec. If I could give more stars, I would. The best thing is that it is a private tour, so you have time to ask questions and chat about history! Frantz had photos to go along with the stories about each location, which is a great addition. I was even able to try some sweet treats as well.
Overall, I had a blast!
‘What was your favourite memory of our time in Quebec City?’
‘Dany!’
From our first communication through email, we knew that Dany was going to be a great host for us. Kind, sincere, helpful! We loved his passion - for his family, life, city, community - and for helping travellers like us, experience the most and the best with our time.
Dany made himself so available - via email, texts, and in-person! We were never intimidated or shy to ask a question. We are mostly English speaking, but a few of us had fun trying out our French…Spanish…Norwegian 😂 We had amazing conversations which easily became our best memories!
Dany greeted us at the airport; what a comfortable, informative and fun way to start our 5 day trip! Loved our guide into Quebec City, taking the local streets, stories and fun facts abound, with a true local!

I wish there were more stars in the rating system because Dany and Frantz would get a 10. I spent two weeks in Quebec City alone and I had Conciergerie Du Terroir as my guides. I have had guides in the past from National Geographic, Backroads, and private guides from many cities and towns around the world. Never before have I had guides like Dany and Frantz.
They wanted my experience to be perfect in every way. And, it was even better than that. They thought of everything unusual and exciting as well as esthetically beautiful, gastronomically delicious and intellectually interesting to see and do.
They are both the kindest humans I’ve ever met in the world and if you are in Quebec, you will miss out if you don’t hire them.

Dany is the absolute best! So helpful, accommodating, friendly, and kind! An absolute pleasure thank you for taking care of me and my family. So nice meeting you. Very highly recommended!!

Franz is the best guide ever! So knowledgeable and shares a wealth of information! Loved being apart of this experience with him.
